Dr. Edward Hill, Jr. is a Certified Online Instructor and a Statistician/Trainer in the School of Extended Learning, Office of Distance Education at Norfolk State University. In this position he provides Office statistical and training support to analyze and collect data to assess the Distance Education Program. He is the editor of the Office of Distance Education monthly newsletter. A continuous feedback improvement model is implemented to incrementally improve all of the Office components. Tools used in the processes are Smarter Measures, Microsoft Structured Query Language Server (MSSQL) for a data repository, Microsoft Office Suit, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), and an Internet Information Services (IIS) Intranet Server. He has been an information professional since 1964. He has held technical and managerial positions in government including: Mathematician, Computer Systems Analyst, Survery Statician, and Supersisory Survey Statician from 1964 -1996. He has worked as an Adjunt Associate Professor of Computer Science from 1978 - 1996. He has worked as an Associate Professor of Computer Science from 1996 - 1999 and 2000 - 2006. He has been a Computer Science Consultant since 2000. Dr. Hill is a widely-recognized expert in database design, computer information science, data resource management, and data-related planning, analysis, and design methods. He has taught many undergraduate and graduate courses in information management. Dr. Hill is distinguished by his ability to communicate concepts clearly, simply, and effectively to any audience. Dr. Hill is a graduate of Southern University (B.S. degree with major in mathematics/education) , Atlanta University (M.S. degree with major in mathenmatics), and The George Washington Unuversity at Washington, DC (D.Sc. with major in computer Science).
